This assortment of pH (litmus) paper is the only set you will ever need! The assortment includes 4 packs and is easy to use for both amateurs and professionals. Use the broad range set for a general idea of pH (range is 1-14). For those times when you need extra accuracy, follow-up with the included narrow range papers to know the pH within 0.2 units.

Best of all, these papers were tested in the US by an experienced biologist (details below) and ship from the US. This means you get a trustworthy product without the long wait.

If you are feeling nerdy, here are the testing details:

Methodology: test assortment of pH papers by applying calibration buffers of known pH (as determined using an Orion pH meter). Broad range covers 1-14. Narrow range paper covers three ranges: 3.8 to 5.4  as well as 5.5 to 9 and 8.2 to 10.

Strips were lined up according to the value corresponding  to the buffers on hand. Five microliters were applied to each strip.  Buffer salts (sodium) were appropriately chosen so there would be ample buffering capacity. Citrate was used for buffers below pH 6. Phosphate was used for pH 6.5, 7.0, 7.6 and 8.0.  Tris was used for pH 9.0 and borate was used for pH 10.0.  All buffers were used at 100 mM.

Results: The color of papers properly matches the color key provided. The manufacturer's range specifications was confirmed. See additional pictures included with this listing.
